BlueTraker VMS transponders are the latest generation of marine graded communication terminals developed for global vessel tracking and monitoring. Transponders intelligently transmit position, speed, heading and other information via either the GSM/GPRS terrestrial network or the Iridium satellite network at predefined intervals. BlueTraker VMS transponders are known for their integrated design with no external antennas, incorporating all the electronics inside a single terminal housing. Robust and maintenance-free transponders offer reliable and cost-efficient operation with low investment and a long lifespan.

The BlueTraker VMS transponder is a specialised communication terminal designed for the global monitoring of fishing vessels. This state-of-the-art device utilises a combination of satellite and GSM/GPRS communication channels to transmit real-time information such as position, speed, and heading to the relevant fisheries management authority. The BlueTraker VMS transponder can also provide catch reports and fishing effort data, thanks to our BlueSenz range of sensors.
Furthermore, the BlueTraker VMS transponder boasts bi-directional communication capabilities, allowing for seamless communication between the vessel and Fisheries Monitoring Center through Bluetooth using our smartphone application (BTApp) or ConBox 2018 LCD device. This advanced technology ensures efficient and reliable communication, ultimately helping to improve fishing practices and promote sustainable fishing practices.

Bluetraker
miniVMS Transponder
The BlueTraker miniVMS is a compact transponder designed for small-scale fishing vessels. This device is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery that provides one-week autonomy and is ideal for use on smaller artisanal fishing vessels measuring less than 12 meters in length. With programmable buttons, the BlueTraker miniVMS can also include a distress button as an additional feature. Unlike the BlueTraker iVMS transponder, the miniVMS is smaller in size and operates solely on an internal rechargeable battery, eliminating the need for an external power source.
